In the words of Benjamin Franklin, there are “no gains without pains.” Likewise was his bold yet daring task to achieve the impossible, which is moral perfection. Through much contemplation, he complied together thirteen virtues that, he believed would guarantee a man’s perfection. Even though he wasn’t ever able to arrive at a completely faultless life, his efforts ultimately improved and bettered his life.
