This is a question that no one can seem to answer. Some say the world and our health will improve drastically because everything will become natural. While others say that we will die because products will be toxic and we will use them without knowing. Comparatively we know what animal testing has done for our health, because “according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, animal testing has helped increase human life by 23.5 years”(Shany 84). The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has done extensive research on animal testing, and their statistics are credible. Alternatives to animal testing are the next big thing. While many are being studied and research, there are two that seem promising. The first is tissue culture, and it “is a process where scientists take live tissue from a human or animal, and they test the chemical on that tissue. The problem with this type of testing is that it only shows the reactions of that group of tissues. Therefore, tissue culture tests do not show full-body reactions”(Shany 84). This alternative seems promising but needs much more research until it is ready to fully replace animal
