Multiple reasons led to the destruction of the Western Roman Empire, the few that stand out most of all are the politically unmanaged government, the economic issues and the life taking diseases, and unfortunately the invasion of foreign invaders. Even though this civilization was advanced, it had its issues, and these issues cause the end of the Western Roman Empire.
The political problems that caused the fall for the Western Roman Empire were several things, such as the many unfit emperors, some were greedy, some were cruel, many were mentally unstable, some lacked the ability to rule. The economical issues that caused the fall of the Western Roman empire were many things, such as the legionaries, they refused to fight and defend for Rome because they weren’t being paid enough, the only thing that paid for them in itself was conquering, and that eventually stopped, so they refused to do anything unless their pay was increased.
Another is that the empire was importing more goods than exporting, this caused more growing desires to have more goods purchased from other empires, they also had trade problems, pirates were stealing most of the goods being brought back to rome. There were also high tariffs because of the lack of gold and coins [money], so there was less money produced. That led to bartering rather than exchanging money, this was allowed because of the limited money.
