August 6, 2013 1. What did you learn about your anxiety response? I learned that it is normal to be nervous during a test and before and that the adrenaline rush that accompanies anxiety can keep you alert and focused. 2. Which aspect of test anxiety is highest for you: cognitive, emotional, behavioral, or physiological? How would you explain this? Physiological Aspect refers to me every time I get ready to take a test I get butterflies in my stomach thinking to myself did I do enough studying to pass this test I do not like to over study but at the same study enough to pass that test 3. Choose two anxiety management strategies mentioned in the textbook and tell how they would benefit you. I think that Physiological
will help by teaching myself how to relax will help me to control myself right before taking a test. And Cognitive I think that understanding my strengths and challenges, based on your learning style will help me cause I think that taking my time and when I take my test look at what my strong point was and look at my week point is and practice on my weak points to make it better. 4. Have you used any strategies to reduce anxiety in the past that are NOT mentioned in the textbook? If so, what is it and why do you believe it works for you? I have not actually used any methods to reduce anxiety I guess just drinking water and taking deep breaths.
