His true love for us obliges that he put us through suffering in order to perfect us. Lewis states that “He has paid us the intolerable compliment of loving us, in the deepest, most tragic, most inexorable sense.” If God was content with perfect man, why would he not create us perfect from the start? Why would he create flawed people, fault them for that deficiency, and then put them through immeasurable extents of suffering in an effort to resolve their flaws. The privilege that this wickedly useless behavior is the idea of deliverance implemented by a loving, all-wise god is too bizarre to value
