However, being a Professional Soldier in this great nation doesn’t just require you to put on the uniform, but it also requires you to live up to the Army values and ethics. It requires you to live up to the NCO creed so that no one can be more professional than you. Being a Professional Soldier is about representing the military and this great nation we call America. As a Professional Soldier, I wear my uniform with dignity and I take my job very serious. When I think about my day to day life as being a Soldier, I realize that what I do matters. Not only do I do my work efficiently, but also effectively. Doing what I’m supposed to do as a professional makes my chain of command look good, and making them look good can make my career better. Being a Professional Soldier and a mom can sometimes be overwhelming, because you are constantly being separated from your family. There are always schools that you need to attend (Advanced leader Couse (ALC), Senior Leader Course (SLC), and Basic Leader Course (BLC)) or trainings that you have to conduct in order to stay updated on the new regulations and to stay properly trained.
