Hence, we should develop an attitude of modesty and try to learn new things in a continuous manner. Shri Pingali venkaiah is one of the national freedom fighters who has dedicated his whole life to the value system and for the service of the nation. For example, he traveled to Colombo, Sri Lanka for completion of Secondary Cambridge and there he developed high level of acclimatization to the new socio-political environment. He mingled well with his co-students of different nations and cultures and continued his incessant journey of education. It was learnt that he taught all the aspects of his education to poor students in India. This shows his admiration for the country and fellow Indians. This has ignited his feeling towards freedom fight against the British rule because he understood that the poverty eradication measures were not implemented by the British sincerely and wholeheartedly. He worked with various other national freedom fighters and took the freedom struggle movement with a big leap. He contributed immensely for the benefit of poor people of India by his dedicated service to crop improvement programme in general and cotton improvement in particular. It is really surprising to note that Shri Pingali Venkaiah contributed immensely for the field of agriculture seeing his original background. But he proved all others wrong by excelling in this area as he developed the art of impeccable learning and knowledge at every stage of his life. He was instrumental in development of new cotton varieties because of which several farmers of India got benefited tremendously and he was given the title of "Patti Venkaiah". For this outstanding contribution, he was recognized by the British government with the membership of Royal Society.
