Isis, Black Madonna, Madonna and Child, and Virgin Mary all have a common denominator they share. The denominator is that they are all European icons, but the variance is the cultures that idolize them. Black Madonna was Byzantine, Isis was Egyptian, Madonna and Child Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches, and Virgin Mary was Christian. The central idea for each of the icons varies, along with their influence. Isis is known as the greatest goddess of Egypt. Madonna and Child declared the deity of Christ. This scene can be viewed in two different perspectives. One perspective is warm and loving exchanges amongst a mother and her child. Whereas, the other perspective is a regal and formal bearing that displays austere and distance. Furthermore, a dissimilar deduction is a fertility goddess. The icon image is depicted amongst the individual’s perception. Virgin Mary is represented as queenly, ennobled, and crowned. She was regarded as someone approachable and nurturing. Many assumed her to be a protagonist in her own rich life story. Purity was instilled and also the reward of such action. The reward was God choosing her to bear the most extraordinary child that was born without a father. Virgin Mary was perceived to have achieved the highest status women could
