What Is The Giver's Point Of View
Jonas has a different point of view from everyone in The Giver from the start. By the end of the book Jonas’s point of view changes even more.
In the beginning of the book, Jonas saw things different than others. Only little things at first. “But suddenly…had changed”. (pg. 24) The apple had changed. Then more and more started to appear. That is when he got selected.
After his first memory from the giver more stuff started to change. He started to learn why the elders took color away. “We shouldn’t have”. Jonas said fiercely. He learned more than his parents knew, he knew more than everyone.
Then he started to rebel. He rebelled against the community. He made a plan to escape but, to do so he needed to lie. “It was his first lie to his parents.
