What makes a good friend?
A friend is someone you know well and like but who is not a member of your family. Good friends are those who talk and act in a way that show you that you can rely on them. There are different kinds of friends but ‘a good friend’ is someone who is loyal, well-balanced and fun.
Loyal friends are people who always stand by you in both good and bad times. In good times they will be there to share your good news, to celebrate achieved goals or to go to important events with you. In bad times they will give you good advice and all the support you need to overcame obstacles. Loyal friends are the ones who help you on whatever you want.
Well-balanced friends are persons who are sensible, mentally-strong and healthy. This kind of people helps you to be a reasonable and practical person. They are always keep calm and show their emotions and feelings when they have to. They have common sense and sometimes leave aside what their say. If something bad happens, they will not break up automatically. Well-balanced people have healthy habits, are more active and they usually take good decisions.
Finally, fun friends are enjoyable persons who like to do original things. Those people have good sense of humor and always make you smile. They are also reliable, in a way that makes you feel pleased and satisfied.
There are several valuable qualities that make a good friend, but for me, the most important are their loyalty, their well-balanced life and their fun personality.

A quality that makes a good friend is their degree of loyalty to you. A loyal friend will want to be around you. They will make an effort to be with you, and calls you to say hello when you can’t be together. For instance, if your friend is meeting other people at the movie theater, they will call and invite you to go along as well. If you go away for a vacation, your friend will tell you how much they are excited for you to return home. A loyal friend will pull their own weight in your relationship. Leaving everything up to one person in a friendship isn’t fair. They will help you plan times when you will get together, or events so other people can join as well. They will contribute to sharing phone calls between the two of you, instead of making you do all the calling. Another attribute that makes a friend loyal is a possible understanding of an event you have gone through. Having a friend that relates to events in your life is very comforting because they know how you feel or had felt. For example, if you lost a grandparent that was very close to you and your friend did as well, they can relate to your feelings which will make them feel more attached and loyal to you, and you to them.…

When I asked Google to define a friend it gave me 82,300,000 related results, but when I asked the definition of a good friend it only showed 47,000,000 results. This proved how people tend to have more challenges in characterizing what a good friend is, probably because it is harder to find one. Generally, a friend is described as a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically exclusive of sexual or family relations. Almost every single one of us will immediately nod in agreement to this definition and explain how your good friend never fails to make you smile. They are the ones who support every action you made, every word you said, and every decision you take.…

For me the word "friend" means many different things. One of the things that makes someone a friend is when they are always there for you. They give you love if you are ever having a hard time and they try to lift up your mood. They make sure you are never in danger or doing something that could have negative consequences. A good friend looks out for you even if you are having an argument with them. When you are someone's friend, it doesn't mean you are talking to them at all hours of the day. A friend is someone that you can talk to even if you haven't talked in days and it won't feel weird at all. She shares her knowledge on how to successfully complete the project, or she may even offer a few words of wisdom. When you’re between a rock and a hard spot, she gives you her assistance. It might be to loan you money. Also, she shares her possessions, such as a simple screwdriver to finish the project.
