What simple machines did you incorporate into you nifty lifting machine? The simple machines that I incorporated into my nifty lifting machine was a pulley and a lever. The pulley was used to help lift up the weight. This was accomplished by having string that was connected to a crank runs through the pulley and at the end of a string is a magnet. The magnet is used to latch on to the metal can. The lever we used is used to stop the crank from spinning so the crank can't spin while my group doesn't want it to.

Explain what knowledge was gained creating your machine in your prototype. The knowledge that was gained from creating a prototype include learning about the different type of simple machines the group could use in their project. The next great piece of knowledge learned about creating a prototype was the mistakes that would have to be fixed or changed in the final product. The

The division of the ideas of the labor and materials per person among the group was everyone chipped in a third of the work and divided among the group evenly because there were three group members everyone did a third. Katelyn brought in the wood that needed cut, the dowel rods. Max brought in the nails, screws, and the tools needed to put the nails and screw into the wood. Abbey had brought in after coming back from her vacation was a wheel and axel and wedge to stop the wheel. The group split up the construction of the product. Katelyn did the technical drawings, cut wood, and helped construct the final product. Abbey let the group use her fathers workshop on the weekends to finalize the product, have extra time to build, and analyze and fix mistakes. Max constructed, cut, and came up with the design. So, overall the group brought in equal amount of materials and the work load was split fairly among the members of the
