What Was The Effect On Truman Burbanks

Is a science fiction film made in 1998, directed by Peter Weir and interpreted by Jim Carrey as Truman Burbanks, Truman was adopted and raised by a corporation inside a simulated television show that recorded all of Truman’s life, but one day he discoverers it and decides to leave the show (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Truman_Show).

In the movie, Truman show was directed by Christof . He watched every movement, every effect he wanted every single detail about the show to be perfect for the audience . Since Truman (main character) even inside of his mom belly, he's being watched by many people. His first step, his first tooth, everything of his life, people that watched the show they knew about it. When truman was a young boy,
they production of the truman show made it seem like his dad had died when they were on a boat, that affected truman really bad, or in a way that he could not even go to the bridge by were all the boats were because it reminded him of his dad's death.

Truman had a mom that loved him, I did not really get if it was his real mom, but she took care of him at the show.
Truman also had a best friend, which was also an actor, I still wonder if he ever felt something by hide this to him, well any of them. When truman went to college he saw this young lady Meryl, he always looked at her but because he was a shy guy he never, spoke to her, one day she was with her friends and he came up to her , no words, only weird noises came out of his mouth, leaving himself in a weird position and left.Truman loved this girl, even without speaking to her, Maryl tried to tell him that he was inside of a show, but Truman did not seem to clearly understand. Maryl always seem to disappear because she always tried to tell Truman the “Truth” about him. Truman ended up dating and marrying Sylvia, she was pretty, but did not really love Truman. Everything in Truman's life seem to be excellent, he got a job, a lovely wife, a great best friend and people that surrounded him that we're all kind. Going back when Truman was in college, a day that he was in the library he want up to Maryl and spoke to her, she did not seem to wanted to talk to him, because she knew she could not. Truman proposed to her to get a drink or coffee some other day, she said “no I can't” , Truman keep telling her, to set a day, she said “ right now” so they did not go to their next class and left to the beach. They kissed. Maryl told him that “they would come for her” Truman
reply ..Them who? She said listen to me, nothing of this is true, that all of that was fantasy, in that moment a car came “her dad” and took her , telling truman that she was crazy.
Maryl kept screaming at truman while her “that’ was grabbing her and pulling her to the car, truman asked “Where are you taking her? The dad reply “we are moving to Fiji”. Since that day Truman did not see Maryl ever again, but he remembered
every single detail about her face. Truman had that day present, everyday before going to work he would get a magazine, telling the guy in the magazine shop that it was for his wife. But when he got home, he’ll have different noses, mouth, eyes to make a portrait of Meryl. The eyes was Truman’s main focus. After that night his mind opened more. He figured that something was not right, that the people on the streets were doing the same thing, over and over again, he felt like he was being watched. All of that seem strange to Truman. To prove his point he talked to his best friend but he ignored him. Truman wanted to prove the point of everything being so strange to his wife. And so he did, first at the kitchen she said something about a product, it seem to Truman like a commercial, he thought it was weird and he went crazy on her. He chased her, right when he was chasing his best friend did a apparition I would called it a “exact moment” apparition, making it seem like Truman was the crazy one . Another a day after his wife got out of work, Truman told her, exactly would happen. She thought he was being silly but Truman knew what he was doing. He told her “ we are going to Fiji”. She reply “you are so silly Truman!” but truman was not kidding. He put the caron reverse and press the gas, then on drive and so he tried to get out of there. The production was making anything possible for him to not leave. He did confront his fear, went through the bridge and got out of the town. But they got him.
With Truman having more knowledge about what was really happening. He was planning a way to finally get out of there. Truman acted normal all day, he followed the things he knew he did everyday, to make it seem like he forgot about leaving. A night Truman decided to sleep in the attic, he was ready to scape. He made a way to get out of there. When Christof decides to check on how Truman was doing, it was late. He was already gone. Truman was on a boat. All the town was looking for him. While Truman was on the boat, Christof saw him. He did anything to stop him, storm, big waves. He even tried to kill him. Truman survived all of that. All of the effects were stopped.
In conclusion Truman sees a screen and a “Exit Door” , he walked to the door. As he was just opening the door Christof decides to talk to Truman. He told him to stay, that out of that door, it's nothing, that he had everything he ever needed there. Truman did not listen to him, but he did say something, “In case I don't see you, good evening, good afternoon and good night.
I thought this film was great, it had a lot of confusion at first, but then you realize is about a show, and that no none wouldnt really like to be in Truman's position, at least that's what I think.
