what we do everyday
Courage means doing something even though it can be difficult and fearsome. I chosen this statement because I believe that statement is true. The dictionary definition of courage is “the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc. A example of this thought would be a someone who just graduated high school or even college joining the military. With wars raging all over the world, a solider is almost guaranteed to be on the front line. Anybody a young man or woman who has their whole life ahead of them, to look forward to, has to have a lot of courage to face the life challenges of a military life . You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. Also, courage is the quality of every quality at its highest testing point. Eventually every value gets tested. This shows that courage is something always going to get tested in a way life and some beliefs etc. One power full quote that I believe in by Victor Hugo;Have courage for the great sorrows of live, and patience for the small ones; and then when you have accomplished your daily task, go to sleep in peace. In my own words it saying that have sorrows meaning sadness etc. for the great patience for the small ones later. Anyone who is confident, their circumstances where other people would be afraid is brave or courageous. Also courage is sticking your neck out in what you believe in. For example in The Crucible by Arthur Miller, he has many key scenes, but the most had effect on the reader was courage. For example every body goes through courage in one part of life, police officers also have to have this courage to risk their lives every day to protect citizens of the community from danger. Firemen have the courage to go into a burning building to save other people. This would be very fearsome and a difficult task to do. Doctors,

Risks are involved when overcoming fears and going against the norm. Risks come in different types, risking life, risking reputations, risking limb. The greatest risk “is not taking any risk” (Mark Zuckerberg). A person must have courage to endure each particular risk. A person who is not courageous enough to take risks will “accomplish nothing in life” (Muhammad Ali). Courage happens anytime, anywhere, and any day. Courage is experienced by all; no matter how young, old, wise, or foolish. The effect of courage may not be positive, however, the outcome is remembered.
