Where I Stand
Where I Stand Because this is the first informal feature piece I write in American Literature, I think you should know where I stand on a variety of issues. Everyone has their own opinion on different issues and beliefs. In every one of us, we have our own qualities, and different things we love and that’s what makes each of us unique. Without the joy of being different, the world would be plain and boring. I am myself through these different qualities. I am caring in a way where I put people before
Myself. I am sensitive to every word that has ever been said to me and have taken every criticism into thought. I am funny and enjoy the laughter I bring to other people and love seeing their beautiful smiles. I am athletic and self-driven to my sport and love getting out on the court everyday just to get better. Last but not least I am unselfish; I will always put other people before myself. Not only do your qualities make you unique, but the things you love do too. I am fond of Dr.Pepper and could drink it every day! I love being around people who make me
Laugh and are fun to be around. I love playing tennis and couldn’t see myself ever playing any other sport. I am fond of shoes, in every color, style, and size, I could buy them all and spend all day shopping for them. My favorite thing is puppies though. I would love to have a job dealing with little puppies all day, they just bring such joy and light up everyone’s day. The issues people believe in set them aside from everyone else too. I believe in fate. I honestly believe everything happens for a reason and that reason will be shown either in a good or bad way. I will always be a fan of “The Girl Code”. Girls need to respect other girls relationships and not try to take someone away who means something to them.
I believe in the Freedom of Speech and that everyone has a right to their opinion and a right to say what they believe. I also believe in not wasting time

The best part of me is how aggressive I am when it comes to basketball. I play as a post so I am no ghost when it comes to game time. I through elbows and blow through the competition. I am not a very tall post, but I go out on the court and do my best to make my mark. A nickname of mine is the "Rebound Machine" and it explains what I do best in the…

There is not one person out there that does not have a belief. If you accept it and you feel that it as the truth or if it exists then I belief it’s a belief. One of my many believes now is “Everything will turn out all right”. Every bad story has a happy ending, well that’s the way I see it now. Shortly after graduating high school, I began working at a hospital and I worked there for a few years, but soon things began to change as we got a new manager, people began to leave, new people came on board and shortly they began to let people go because of budget cuts. I didn’t think much about it until I was let go suddenly. At the moment I was speechless that so many thoughts were running through my head that I just walked out without saying a word.…

In my life, I’ve made some good and some bad decisions. I doubt that anyone can perfectly predict my life down to every small detail. I choose to do what I do. For example, I either choose to do my work or choose not to. Or when I take a test and I score low and then I retake the test again a week later without looking over the material again, and fail this time; that’s not destiny. It was my decision that caused that outcome to happen. I choose not to study and I won’t be prepared to take the same test that I already took. Since, I didn’t correct what I got wrong, I’ll probably get it wrong again. It wasn’t fate that made me fail; it was my decision, my laziness and ill will.…

    I Believe in Hope

I believe in hope. I’m not talking the kind of hope you have when you are “hoping” for a new car to just appear in your driveway, or the kind of hope you have when you “hope” for a new job. No. I am talking about the hope that is necessary for survival. That hope which allows you to persevere through hardships in life because you believe-you know-that there is something better waiting on down the road. This is the hope I believe we all must have, and I found this hope for the very first time when I was just 12.…

The team sport that interests me a lot is track and field because when I was a little girl I joined the sport, and became a great runner. Track and Field are very competitive, but to me, it is a fun sport to act like a horse. The reason I say that is because when I was younger, I would always watch horses, and I would say, “ Only if I was a horse one day.” So I feel like a horse racing to the finish line, and winning so I could be known as the “ greatest runner.” When I see myself at as a horse I feel, so free running in the wind. Track and Field give me a really awesome feeling when I start to run because running feels like real you are able to do anything.…

In other words, never sit down to write until you have thought long enough and hard enough about one subject to have an opinion about it—an opinion that you believe in and want to share, one that you can defend logically and honestly. Most writing skills are relatively easy to learn, but it is pointless to learn them—in fact, you will find it almost impossible to learn them—unless you have learned the first rule, the unbreakable rule, of essay writing:…
