Who am I meant to be?
Who Am I Meant to Be? The quiz Who Am I Meant to Be by Ann Dranitsaris is about seven styles that she identified if you are having trouble finding out who you are meant to be. "Striving styles" she called them, thoughts and behavior that satisfy you in different ways. She also says that when you discover your dominant style, you have the best chace at fulfilling your potential. After I took this quiz the style that I scored highest on was #6: Striving to be secure. The good attributes that style #6 described me having is a person someone can lean on, I'm loyal, and committed with relationships. Also, I'm careful with money, I strive to do what is expected of me, and defend traditions I care about. An example I can think of, of me being loyal is when I ask somebody to lend me money, and I say I'll pay them back a certain day I make sure I keep my word and pay the person I owed. A reason I could think of me being committed in my relationships is when I went out with a girl for two years and I didn't cheat on her. An example of me being loyal is with my friends and family. I'm there whenever they need to talk or are sick and not feeling well. Being safe is a good attibute that did apply to me. I know it is because I keep my family safe by locking all the doors and windows when it is time to sleep. Also, I always check on my little brother and ask my mom how he's doing and if he's okay or not. How I'm careful with money is I always save money from what I get paid and buy anew game for my Playstaion 3, which are usually $60. Another reason is I save money for whenever I want to go eat somewhere, and occasionally when I want to buy new clothes or shoes. One more attribute that matches with my personality is striving to do what is expected of me. A few things I can think of is I have to water the plants from the backyard everyday, make sure I take out the trash when the trash truck comes, and to do my homework of course. Also, there are some negative attributes that do sound like me and some that don't sound like me. The ones that do match my personality is I can become over controlling, rejecting any suggestions that doesn't confirm to my ideas of the way things should be. An example is when I'm buying new shoes, I need help picking some out and my friends try giving me advice but I don't take it and I keep looking for what I like. Something that doesn't sound like me is a result of such instability, I can spiral into a state of mind where everything seems catastrophic and my life will get worse. That attribute doesn't really apply to me because I always try to look for the positive things in situations and also I don't let surroundings put me down. Another attribute that doesn't match my personality is having the impulse to immediately say no. That doesn't because I think things out in my head when somebody asks me something to try to give them my best answer besides just no. Unless it is something that you absolutely need to respond no to. Some of the careers that the quiz picked for me are lifegaurd, teaching at a church, something in government, finance, the military, law enforcement, and product manufacturing. A few careers that I would take in consideration would be something in government, but mainly finance. I would like to work at a bank, first as an accountant than maybe work myself up to be a manager. Something in government would be interesting to me because you could get a good pay and learn a lot about how the government works. Also, I have thought about a career in the military as well because I wouldn't have to go to college, but I don't think I would end up doing it. I wouldn't consider having a career as being a lifeguard. I know how to swim but I don't think I would be able to get to the deep if somebody was drowning in the deep of the ocean. Overall, I think the quiz picked a good style that matched with my personality pretty accurate. A couple of attributes didn't sound like me, good and bad, but mostly it was my personality if I wanted to admit it or not. This quiz was helpful, I will now try to get a job at a bank and pursure my finance career. I would personally recomend others to take this quiz because it could help you really discover a few things about yourself. Some may take this quiz for fun, but others may take it to benifit from it if they are struggling to discover who they are, and to help them fulfill their potential.

My primary thinking styles according to my circumplex were conventional and self-actualizing with a 93 percentile score and my back up thinking styles were humanistic-encouraging and achievement with an 85 percentile score. I can say that my primary and backup thinking styles goes well together because they make up my personality into a whole as I’ve seen as I matured. I learned as stated in humanistic-encouraging and self actualizing that I am a good listener and communicates ideas easily which is something that I learned you have to learn to listen before communicating. In the past I would speak without listening which would always cause a conflict in conversations. The conventional style works with my issues I have with being indecisive about everyday processes like shopping or getting dressed for the day because I love to be presented well especially having a love for fashion. I am working on the issues of being conventional because it can come across to others as being cocky or conceited. The achievement that associated with my backup thinking styles is accurate with some of the things on the list such as ambitious and achieving because when I set a goal I have a time set and I make sure that the goal is met with in the time period.…

My secondary thinking style is the Self-Actualizing Style. This style is manifested in both my professional and personal lives. In my professional life, I continually strive to grow and always look for new ways to challenge myself. An example of this is that I am currently attending Graduate school yet still plan on trying to get several certificates to help compliment my education. At work, I always try to find the most efficient way to complete my job duties and tend to get annoyed when I feel I am not doing something productive. I know myself very well and take pride in that. I know what I can handle at work and in my personal life and I know what I can’t. I hardly ever commit to something I feel I can’t do. In my personal life, I value knowing myself and have a very good handle on my self-worth.…

I am very outgoing and sometimes consider myself to be very talkative, even when people tell me to be quiet I cannot help it. That is just the type of person I am. I like to be heard even if I am the only person listening to myself my brain is always running and developing new thoughts and ideas to discuss with other people. Whenever I am with my friends they are constantly telling me to be quiet because I never stop talking I just do not like it to be quiet. I feel that I am the life of the party I also do this at work with my co-workers I just like to talk I feel I have a mouth to express myself and be heard. Openness to experience I feel is another that describes me well because along with always thinking and talking I an very curious to know a little about everything. I feel that I can learn about different things forever, and that I can always learn how to do something I already know a different more efficient way. Curiosity never hurt anyone I believe the world is full of many mysteries and we must unlock and discover them to learn what they are. I also find myself building thing without the instructions not because I do not need them, but because I am curious to see if I can create what I am building without them. Even if I do not know something on a subject I will sometimes act as if I do because I want to see how gullible people are, and I also know many facts about everything so it is easy to believe me. Using agreeableness I would consider myself to be ruthless and soft-hearted why, because I tend to be easygoing and am kind to people I know, but if I do not know you I am not going to be nice to you. Do not get me wrong though even with people I know I can turn on if they give me a good cause to snap on them. People who hitch for rides I…

In analyzing the results of my LSI styles profile, I found that my primary personal thinking style, shown in the circumplex, is Self-Actualizing (93%), which is one of the Constructive styles. This assessment further shows that my backup personal thinking style is tide with two categories, Conventional (75%) and Dependent (75%), which they both fall under the Passive/Defensive Styles. These styles fully describe what I am in personal life and in my professional life. I am concerned about personal development. That is probably the number one factor in my decision in coming back to school to finish up my degree. I had been waiting for the right moment, financially, to come and finish my Bachelor’s Degree. I am currently in my Master’s program. Because of my strong instincts and intuition, I have been able to lead my family to highest values that a person can practice in life. I am a strong believer in forgiving and letting go of the past mistakes of life. I am energetic and love life. I don’t like to hear about things and not experiment or have the experience myself. I work better under pressure and get things done with precision, but, due to adverse and difficult circumstances with upper management, I have taken the Dependent and Conventional Styles, as a precaution for the troubled moments that my organization is going through. I have also noticed that people around me tend to look up for my opinion, for what I think of things. This not only gives me a good sense of internal satisfaction, but, it also humbles me and makes me learn more about things, so that I can answer questions, know how to fix things. These, I practice at work and in my personal life. It has gotten me in trouble sometimes and put it behind me as soon as possible, but I keep on striving for self-motivation,…

I’m a very quick learner. If I struggle with getting a technique down the first few times, I quickly adapt to find a way to make it work for me (I do this quite often in my guitar class). I’m a very passionate person when I believe in something strongly enough, I will defend my opinion and try to get others to see the situation in the same light that I do. I’m also a very creative and artistic person; I love art, drawing, and music. I may not necessarily be the best at drawing, singing or playing my guitar, but I love to do it anyway because it makes me happy, especially when I can hear/see my improvement.…

I determine what has meaning in my life by deciding what I cannot live without or what will make the world better as a whole. Many things can fall into those categories such as, family, friends, work, school, positive attitudes, and of course giving back. In all of the listed above, I incorporate meaning into them in different ways. With the relationships towards my family and friends I show it by giving and showing love and compassion. People know…
