He began making commercials made out of cut out animations. Disney had never worked with a camera before so this was his first experience. He found it very interesting and started making his hand drawn animations come to life in front of the camera. It was after that he had decided to open his own business. His First company, Laugh O Grams, was not as successful as he had hoped for. The company started off very strong, many people adored their cartoons. Disney then decided to hire more employees to hopefully help the business grow. The studio continued to get bigger and better, but eventually ended up going bankrupt.
