With the Friar’s guilt-ridden advice, Romeo's impulsiveness, and the dispute between the Capulets and Montagues, there's many people you could potentially say did the most damage, so who should take credit for The Tragedy of two young lovers? Throughout the “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet” there's one specific person that repeatedly seems to sabotage the lives of young Romeo and Juliet, this also happens to be the person they put the most trust in. The Friar had the duty of keeping people in Verona in the right mindset, but when the two people who needed the someone to depend on the most, he disappointed and betrayed them. Juliet trusts the friar to come up with a plan and put her life into his hands, which he takes for granted. When someone in power has lots of trust, and can easily abuse that power, this is something that still takes place. From priest, and family member to officers. them. The Friars ignorance caused two young, innocent people to take their lives. If the Friar would have took into consideration the pain he could cause, Romeo and Juliet would have lived on. It wasn't just two lovers who lost their lives, it was two young children, who had families and friends who cared for them.
