I am studying health and social care level 3. I have chosen this course for many reasons. . My ambition from secondary school onwards has always been to become a practising nurse who makes a real and positive change to people’s lives. When I was in year 10 I always want to become a nurse because of my mother’s asthma problems. I spent a lot of time in hospital. When I saw the nurses helping people I was covet. My desire to do this course is because I have always shown a growing interest into nursing. I feel that nursing would be rewarding and create different pathways for my future. My career plans are centred in the future of the NHS. I would like to go into a working friendly community of nursing working for the NHS

I also did my work experience 50 hours in a nursery since I was 17 and now I am going to do another work experience another 50 hours in December. During my work experience I have visited playgroups and watched how children develop. I worked closely with children for several weeks and enjoyed it and was asked to revisit which I did. My work experience helped me realize the most basic yet important skills to being a good nurse is being able to demonstrate kindness and compassion and having an understanding of people from all backgrounds. I've also had many opportunities where I've demonstrated skills useful for nursing.
I’m a sociable person and feel that I have the correct attitude, personality and social skills which are required to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
At school I involved to go to the some universities to learn how to become a nurse and what to do to become a nurse. We also had some lessons about adult nursing and child nursing.
