Why Did We Prevent The Spanish Civil War?

The Spanish Civil War began because of many reasons, but mainly for the differences between fascists, the Republican government of Spain, and socialists, the Nationalists who rebelled against their oppressive government. The war took place from July 17, 1936 to April 1, 1939, starting in Morocco and ending in mainland Spain. The Spanish Civil War reeked of religious differences and quarrels over government policies, but could have been prevented if a more democratic approach was taken by the Second Republic government. The results and repercussions of the war did not diffuse conflict and made for even more corrosion throughout the Country of Spain. Spearheading this movement were characters like General Francisco Franco, who was on the rebellious side, and Manuel Azaña, who was president of the Second Spanish Republic when the war commenced.
