From what I have read its seems that Germany was the main reason for the first World War and for the second War. Some of the reasons why the second war was started was due to Fascism which was started by Benito Mussolini. Another reason that the second war was started was due to Chamberlin giving Germany part of Cezoslavakia
After the First War, the French built the Maginot Wall to better protect them from Germany. It was 125 miles long (202 km). It stretched from Switzerland to Belgium. Some of the dictators of the war were Stalin who oversaw the Soviet Union and Hitler who oversaw the German Army. The invasion of Poland was carried out on September 7, 1939 and with Hitler and Stalin working as partners the German army came at Poland from the West and the SSR came from the East.
On August 31 of 1939 Germany attakced Poland and in response Britain and France declared war on Germany. This was the start of the war. Eventhough Britain and France declared war on Germany they were still encuraged to take over poland.
The Battle of the Atlantic was a battle between the Germans and the British. The Germans used U-boats to sink cargo ships that were trying to supply food and water to the British. The Americans were pulled into the war of the Atlantic to help the cargo ships get to the British. The Americans lost one ship and over 100 lives.
The battle of Dunkerque was a battle between the British and the Germans. The British were trying to protect France from attacks but were bombed by the Germans so the had to evacuate Dunkerque. After the evacuation of Dunkerque there were still people that needed to be rescued they planned on saving 45,000 But they ended up saving 338,000 in 6 days which is about 56,333 people per
