A child must be confident with oneself before becoming a leader or follower in a group activity. It is important that children are taught the basic understandings through group activities, such as organization, participation, and courtesy of others. However, the world and what it challenges us with starts with the individual. I, myself, am more engaged with creative, individual activities, and experience self‐discipline, recognized mental‐capacities, and physical limits just as well as any other child, but some of the greatest minds ever known had large imaginations that spurred on such great ideas. When football or baseball season is over, it’s a rainy day, and you’re left alone to yourself with nothing to do, imagination is your only solution. Creative play not only teaches fundamental skills but it also gives children an amazing, self‐sufficient capacity of entertainment that can be with them any time, anywhere, and for the rest of their
