Not everyone enjoys fear like others. In the story “ Why Do Some Brains Enjoy Fear?” it says, “No one wants to experience a truly life- threatening situation. ( Ringo 91)” If different people react to fear in different ways you never know what you might do. If you would run? Freeze up? Your reaction could be critical in the situation and that's why people don't enjoy it. Fear is something dangerous that caused us pain in the past. For example in the story “Where Is Here?” they got to experience what it feels like. It says on page 69, “One November evening at dusk, the doorbell rang, and the father went to answer it, and there on his doorstep stood a man he had never seen before.” The man just wanted to walk around the house because he told the parents he used to live there. They were fine with it but when he came in the house and looked around he was getting a little weird. The parents were worried for the safety of the kids and asked him to leave. It's better to be safe than sorry especially when it involves your family.
