Why Do We Need Censorship?

Our society needs censorship because things have gotten out of control. If the government fails to exercise control over what people have access to, God’s children will completely fall apart. In the book, Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury’s character, Baetty, tries to tell the people that the books they are reading are bad for them. He feels like censorship is needed in that society. Censorship can help keep children under control and sometimes cause children and parents also to think about what they see and hear. Becoming one, protecting children and letting racism go is why we need censorship.
As of right now our society is falling apart. The people in this generation are not in unity and that’s what we need. In God’s eyes, all of the people
are sisters and brothers in Christ but yet society is still killing one another. Becoming one is very important. “Even if a unity of faith is not possible, a unity of love is.” It prevents spreading of racism and it promotes political correctness, meaning racism will not be as bad if society starts to look at the world differently.
Society believes that there are a lot of things that should be censored for children, such as violence and sexual relations.
In the article “ What children need is censorship” it says " There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children." The people also think that it should be censored for an older audience as well. Things such as movies and Tv shows should be censored in accordance of children. These types of things should be taken offensively.
Racism is one of the most important social issues of the modern world. It has affected millions of people worldwide, and is one of the deepest social problems in history. The history of what we call racism which is the discrimination of other groups on the basis of their different descent begins in the Early Modern Period. This worldwide issue has caused countless problems so it is imperative they we analyze this in order to better understand it. We will look at the origins of racism, its history, and its decline in the present alongside remaining vestiges of racism in our
society.
Many people believe censorship is hurtful. In the article “Censorship in the Schools” by American Library Association, it says, “In the process of acquiring knowledge and searching for truth students can learn to discriminate, meaning to make decisions rationally and logically in the light of evidence.” Therefore, having censorship can mess up kids knowledge. It is understandable why the people believes that censorship limits education. Even though censorships limits education, it still causes people to do certain things because they intend to take off what they see and hear.
As previously stated, Ray Bradbury deals with the issue of censorship in Fahrenheit 451, Beatty explains that censorship did not come from the government, it came from the people. The society didn’t want to have thoughts introduced to them that might upset their happy society. Faber tells Beatty “it’s not the books you need, it’s some of the things that once were in books.” This is a prime example of why this society needs censorship.
Censorship is needed in our society now that way the people can help the government come together and censor what is seen and heard.
It can also help protect children and help get rid of racism. If the government help society come together as one this world might turn out differently. Children are being abused and thrown away and society is suppose to love on their children. They are suppose to help protect their children and keep them on the right track. In this generation many kids are going down a bad road and society needs to help get them all back on the right track. Many people feels different about society now days and that leads back to racism. It shouldn’t matter where the people live or what color they are, everyone should be treated equally. Censorship will make this world better and it may even cause people to think differently about society now. Censorship could be very helpful for society and governments as
well.
