Why Earth Is An Insignificant Star?
In the immensity of the universe, Earth is an insignificant star but in this star, you can find mankind. It wasn't doubted that humans are a kind of very strong living beings on the earth. Which thing can make humans achieve this successful circumstance? I think that their emotions and persistence support them to be done which is their goals. Just like me, when I'm a child, I don't know these details because I like to do some interesting things I think but I never pay attention to end what is good or bad. In my life, my mum taught me this truth that is kept persisting.
I still recall that day, and the sky blue and the sun was low. My mum and I were walking to the supermarket after we had dinner. Dusk fell after sunset, and workers stopped work. I still saw some girls and boys who wear beautiful clothes leave out of that building. I felt that is the most exciting time in my life, so that I pulled my mum back by the hem of her shirt, and shouted," Mom! See those girls! They are

At the beginning of the class, I still made some mistakes and wanted to escape that place, but my mum shook her hand to say no. Dancing would be continue with no doubt. Then, I again and again failed in that two hours. Finally, I found some interesting things that are although you are so tired and is afraid of failure, you will become nearer to success.
British politician, Winston Churchill said, “I have nothing to offer but blood, toil tears and sweat.” This sentence makes me understand that if you want to be a wealthy man, that is so tough. Perspective and you’ll be succeeding. At the same time, when we decide to finish one thing, “things done by halves have ever done right.” by American Poet, R.H. Stoddard.
Actually, this event gives me a deep feeling in my entire life. I believe that I can’t forget it forever. Meanwhile, I am very thanking for my mum who taught me this truth that if you can persist to do anything, nothing is not

According to Bernadette Devlin, “To gain which is worth having, it may be necessary to lose everything else.” In simpler terms,if one wants to acheive something that means a lot to them, they might just have to lose everything else they have. In Their Eyes Were Watching God, by Zora Neale Hurston, this quote rings true. Hurston shows that by using symbolism and a bit of irony throughout the story.…

Our experiences and the way we react to them shape who we become. Dwelling on a particular event will not help us succeed in life; whether the event be positive or negative. “Turn your mind from the ship, child. It is nothing but a rotting carcass in the grass. The carcass has shocked you with its stink and its flies. But you have walked past it, already, and now you must keep walking” (122). There are events in our lives that will shock us and leave us unsure of what to do, or whether we should keep moving on. These thoughts should not hold us back, as the answer is always to keep moving on; the hardest parts do not last.…

It was my freshman year. I had been dancing for about three years when I was selected for our dance competition team. I felt ready. It eventually came my time to show everyone how hard I worked over the past few months. Hands shaking and heart racing, I took my first step onto that stage alone. I made it halfway through the performance before my mind went blank, forgetting my choreography. Thinking quickly, I tried to improvise the rest of my routine. Finally, the music went silent. Sitting in humility, the team gathered on the stage anticipating awards. I wasn't expecting much. Rightfully so, I placed in the lowest possible scoring bracket. I had an overwhelming feeling of failure; I wasn’t good enough. I wanted to be as skilled as the other dancers in the room. They deserved where they were, and so did I. Over the next year, I worked harder than I ever had. I took extra classes, I practiced in my bedroom mirror, I would even tondu in the grocery store. I integrated dance into every aspect of my life. I desired to be better than I was. This experience fueled…

I remember the day well. I was just finished with school for the year and sitting on the front step, the top half of me laying back on the porch, just staring. I was thinking about the small house my mother worked so hard for us to get and keep. We lived in row housing just outside Juneau Alaska. All of the houses were small and I always thought to myself, “Is this the life I am destined for?” My mind wondered as I looked up at the clouds and squinted because of the sun.…

About the second week of camp the bus driver and I took a new route to pick up the kids. We rode down Halifax Street and then stopped at the homeless shelter. I said "Mrs. Carol," which was the bus driver's name, " why are we stopping right here?" and before she got to say anything I saw the two girls run out of the building. That was one of the most shocking moments of my life, but I didn't let the girls see my emotion, I just greeted them as I would any bus rider. Although I hid my shock from the girls, in the back of my mind I couldn't help but think of something to do for them since they were so well behaved and underprivileged at the same…

As I walked through the doors, entering the studio, I set my bag down and took a deep breath that created a moment of relief and peace. As I took my first step onto the dance floor, I knew at that moment my life was going to change and I could just feel the passion that was soon to come. Growing up I had been categorized as the quiet and shy type, afraid to try new things and that first dance class showed how truly insecure I was. After taking a month of classes I began watching videos of dancers and it left me in complete awh. I watched the ballerinas, so graceful but strong, the jazz dancers, sassy and fierce, and the lyrical dancers, full of emotion and laid back. There was something I realized while watching all the different dancers and what they all had in common and that was confidence. No matter the style each dancer was full of confidence and having the intention of not a care of what the audience thought, they danced for them. It was that moment that I knew what I needed to do not to just be a better dancer, but a better person as a whole. Each year I danced I grew more And more as a person, gaining more confidence. But during those six years I found many struggles that helped me shape who I am today. I went through always being placed in the back, never getting the lead role, and worst of all favoritism. When I look back on how much I've changed as a person, it's astonishing. I've grown into this person who is hardworking, passionate, and outgoing but, most of all I found the confidence I myself I had been seeking all these years. To think if I had never stepped foot in that dance studio who knows of the person I would have became, probably still that shy innocent girl. Without dance I would not have became the person I am and love…
