taking care of newborn babies and young children. They are so cute and a joy to be around. I hope that I will be able to take care of the newborn babies and make sure that they are happy and healthy. My goals after High School is to go to college at UH Hilo.
There I will complete all of my prerequisites for pre-med and graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science. From UH Hilo, I plan on going to a good medical school and continue my education and learn more about what it takes to become a great Doctor. In medical school I plan on taking a course of study that will lead me to getting an MD or DO degree. After medical school, I plan on entering a residency program and learn more hands on about the types of tasks that need to be done to take care of the young patients in a hospital. After I have completed three to five years of full-time experience in a residency program, I will take my Boards and hopefully earn a Board Certification by passing the written test and sometimes oral examination, which is created and administered by the Member Board. Once all of this is completed, I hope that I will be able to remember all that I have learned during those many years in school and remember my training, so that I can maintain my Board Certification. I also hope to keep up with the latest advances in my specialty and be able to demonstrate the proper practices for patient safety, ethics and
communication. My final goal for my career, is that once all of the schooling is done, I passed my Boards, and I have my degree, I plan on working in a hospital as a certified Doctor and take care of the sick and injured newborn babies and infants, making sure that they become healthy and have a wonderful recovery so that they can go back out and enjoy the world.
