Why I Need To Be Disastrous Essay
An international concern I have is the fear being put into the heads of people worldwide. With terrorist organizations becoming a larger threat, they are implanting this permanent thought of "What if they come here next" or "What if they are near me and could do something disastrous?". One of the reasons I am applying to a United World College is because I want to try new things, go somewhere new, meet new people with different cultures than what I am used to, interact with them; however, some people are too scared to do that because they feel like there is a possibility of them getting threatened or even killed. With groups like ISIS who are killing in a public and grizzly manner by doing things such as gruesome be-headings and executions, they put fear into the minds of a large portion of people that they will be hunted down. This does not just apply to normal people, this also applies to just everyday Muslims. This applies to everyday Muslims because they are scared that they will be portrayed as a threat because of the stereotype being made. This is what groups like ISIS want to happen though, because this leads to fear which then weakens people allowing them to be vulnerable. …show more content…

Although fear holds a lot of people back from what they want to achieve, some people use that same fear as motivation. Even though they are afraid, it does not hold them back from what they want to accomplish. A great example of someone like this is Noble Prize winner Malala Yousafazi. Malala is a Muslim teenager who protested her not being allowed to be educated. Even though she had fear of what would happen, she did not let it affect her point of view because was not only trying to help herself but she was also trying to help other

“I Just Wanna Be Average” by Mike Rose is an excerpt from his book Lives on the Boundary about his time in Our Lady Mercy High School’s education system. He went into Vocational education because of a mix-up in his tests with another student. With this mix-up and teachers who would not put in the effort to help him succeed occurring, Rose lost all motivation in studying in his classes. Rose finally found a teacher who cared about his success in school and helped Rose get back into regular college-prep classes. This motivation from one teacher helped Rose in going to college and being successful. Where were Rose’s parents when all of this happened? Did they not have a conference with his teachers, or try to help him out with his schoolwork, or did they just not care about their child’s education. Parents are an important role in a child’s education and there are many reasons as to why…

This paper will be about how fear will make you make choices based on your belief. In this country, we have the opportunity to make choices on our own because not everyone have the same belief, so therefore we do not have fear. In the stories that we read, we can see that they didn't have that opportunity because they had to follow certain beliefs. If they committed some crime they would be punished for their actions. Fear can influence decisions, beliefs, and change a person's thought whether if it's what they want for themselves or for the society.…

One example of how fear motivates humans is Christianity. Christians fear eternal damnation, and fear is a leading contributor to the salvation of Christians. Jonathan Edwards used fear in his famous sermon: “O sinner! Consider the fearful danger you are in: it is a great furnace of wrath, a wide and bottomless pit, full of the fire of wrath, that you are held over in the hand of that God, whose wrath is…

LEVERAGING your fears to get the outcome you desire: So if you fear God, you will engage in virtuous, philanthropic, moral plus righteous deeds, to help the needy, deserving people, which will allow you to connect with as well as get closer to God. If you fear poverty, you will work harder than you ever have; you will direct your effort, your energy toward your finances, your savings, your investments, so that you become financially self-sufficient along with gaining financial independence.…

The issue of war against terrorism has been a dominant theme in our media today. Terrorists have been stereotyped as Middle Eastern, Muslim, cold blooded and hard headed suicide bombers who are out to destroy all that standing in the western world. The gargantuan international effort on the War on Terrorism has created a psychological construct where Islamic fundamentalism and the Middle Eastern race are now considered as potential terrorists. There have been numerous circumstances where Muslims and Arabic costume and color precipitated discrimination and hate campaigns.…

The Jackson 5 (also spelled The Jackson Five, sometimes stylized The Jackson 5ive), later known as The Jacksons, or simply Jacksons, are an American popular music family group from Gary, Indiana. Founding group members Jackie Jackson, Tito Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, Marlon Jackson and Michael Jackson formed the group after performing in an early incarnation called The Jackson Brothers, which originally consisted of a trio of the three older brothers. Active from 1964 to 1990, the Jacksons played from a repertoire of R&B, soul, pop and (in the 1970s) disco. During their six-and-a-half-year Motown tenure, The Jackson 5 was one of the biggest pop-music acts of the 1970s, and the band served as the launching pad for the solo careers of their lead singers Jermaine and Michael, the latter brother later transforming his early Motown solo fame into greater success as an adult artist. The Jackson 5/The Jacksons have sold 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best selling artists of all time!!!!!!!!…

    Why Essays Are Stupid

Essays are gay for several reasons. Nobody likes writing them because they aren't fun to do. why do something that's not fun? They also are time consuming and do nothing but make some teacher happy that they kept you busy with such stupid busywork. When's the last time you saw somebody who was not a student write an essay? That's like seeing a flying purple hippo take a dump on a cop car while smoking a blunt. It doesn't happen. There are some people who get off on writing essays, definately not anyone in the right mind, but usually some little queer in the closet who can't make friends and sucks dick for coke. Of course they never tell anybody about it, but rumor has it that it still goes on behind closed doors. You'd be amazed at the secret lives nerds leave, they are some strange people. Teachers have good intentions, but are still pretty dumb. not quite as dumb as police officer, but equally ignorant. Ever notice how tv is nothing like real life, even though it's supposed to reflect it? I always thought that they were supposed to be similar, but I was usually stoned at the time. They obviously spice up TV because life is too boring to make a tv show of. And when they do, it's called real world. That show was stupider than hell, I couldn't believe, still don't believe that a show like that could be successfull. So in conclusion, that is why essays are gay, and so are teachers. May hippos shit on cop cars and spark it all night long. peace out…
