Why Is Human Connection Important To Me
Human connection is what matters to me the most. I believe that connection with others is one of the most basic human needs. Connection is created through authenticity and vulnerability. These are also the two concepts that are the foundation of trust and friendships. Without connection between human beings, there would never be any peace in the world and there also wouldn’t be any cooperation. Collaboration or the sharing of ideas is what drives creativity and all of modern society.

Personally, human connection is important to me because it gives me a sense of love and belonging. It makes me feel worthy of all that I have and that I am worthy of other peoples’ time. It is what allows me to dream of a world that is loving and safe for all

In this TED Talk video, Brene Brown, an author and public speaker, shared with us a topic about Perception. She began to research further into this topic and discovered that there was more to it than what was being said. Brown says that she discovered the meaning of connections. Being a social worker, she needed to understand the purpose of our lives. An interesting fact she found was that we like to feel like we are connected or bonded with something or someone. While we definitely need this emotional connection, Brooke made a deeper research and came up with the opposite of what she had initially discovered. She listed insecurities, our disadvantages and our shame. This all came down to our vulnerabilities.…
