Simpson’s blood was missing from the lab, so the defense made it seem that the blood was stolen and then planted at the crime scene. “The prosecution of Simpson’s case presented compelling DNA evidence, including matching bloody footprints, hair follicles and a glove found near Simpson’s home containing blood that tested positive to the blood of Goldman”(101.5, 2012). Blood from the killings was also found on the handle of O.J. Simpson’s Ford Bronco, but the defense said it was planted on his car from the blood missing from the lab. A bloody footprint at the scene was also found that was identical to O.J.’s shoe print. The killer also left a glove at the scene of the crime but when O.J. tried the glove on, he made it seem like it didn’t fit and the defense also made the court believe that the glove was placed at the crime scene by a racist cop looking to help convict O.J. The evidence found and collected was plenty enough to convict O.J. but the defense flipped the whole trial from being about murder to racism. I do not believe the prosecutors did a well enough job to charge O.J. because of their lack of patience or because the blood from the crime scene was stolen and made it seem like the white cops were out to get him.
