Why Is Sign Language So Different?
Oddly enough it helps children learn more words and vocabulary's. Sign language is symbolic by nature, children have an easy time connecting things to symbols then if you used a more traditional method. It also is a good way to have them remember and reinforce the alphabet. Hand symbols resemble the shape of letters in the written alphabet, what better way to have a child practice their alphabet then with their fingers and hands.
