As the author claimed that leaving the task to the last minute before the deadline, it gives the permission to the person to do a great job. This is a false assumption as when the person procrastinates over a task his result will never be as a person that works on that task a whole week. While some might claim that it results a better job, but in fact it results a sloppy work. According to Peter Economy in his article “5 Important Reasons Why You Need to Stop Procrastinating” as he cities “Everyone—no matter seasoned he or she is at anything—know that throwing something together last minute is never as good as having the time review their final product a couple of times”. Another false assumption the author mentioned in his article is that procrastinators are better at decision-making. This could be true, but in reality, decision making is not an easy thing at all, so there should be enough time to think wisely to take the right decision without any worries. Procrastination lead to high level of stress as a result the decision at that time is not suitable. As stated by Jayson DeMers in the article “Are You a Decision Procrastinator? Here’s How to Change That”, he said that the path of procrastination can lead to damage to self, so it should be recognized and overcome this in order to be better at taking …show more content…
As citied by Frank Partnoy “some scientists have argued that there are two kinds of procrastination: active procrastination and passive procrastination”, the author used this evidence to convince the audience without mentioning who are they those scientists. This an unreliable evidence that makes the author’s words not trustable. This evidence is true but weak, refers to Frank S. Martini Jr. words who stated in his research titled by “The influence of active procrastination and passive procrastination”, earlier research proves that to benefit from the positive effect of procrastination, it found that there’re two kinds of procrastination: active and passive. This is a strong evidence for the previous statement stated by Partnoy. Additionally, another weak evidence mentioned in the article claimed by Paul Graham “the most impressive people I know are all terrible procrastinators”, it’s a weak source as he didn’t state the credibility of the author and this called as lack of reference. As said by Megan McCardle in the article “Why Writers Are the Worst Procrastinators”, loads of people delays, but when it comes to writers it’s rare.
