Why prostitution should be legalized? The term “Prostitution” is the act or practice of engaging in promiscuous sexual relations especially for money. According to the Sumerian list of profession, prostitution is regarded as one of the oldest profession since 2400 B.C. However, the idea of selling human being ethically controversial and questions about criminalization, decriminalization and regulation of prostitution are widely debated. Once legalized, sex workers can easily approach the polices whenever they are in danger or having the problems with clients or pimps as well as they can get the opportunity to conduct their businesses on their own without any control by those abusive pimps. In these ways can possibly reduce the numbers of violence and abuse.
Moreover, when prostitution is decriminalized, people who wish to satisfy their sexual lusts can hire the prostitutes in proper ways instead of committing rape. This idea may see offensive but if we think it over, we will find it also sensible. The Indian Novelist and Journalist, Khushwant Singh, said that, “The more you try to put down prostitution, the higher will be the incidence of crime against innocent women.”
