Why Should Strict Gun Laws Be Banned

There would be a significant amount of decreased deaths attributable to gun violence if stricter laws were in place. Guns can cause the death of countless lives because of murder, self defense, or an accidental occurrence. Therefore, stricter gun laws can decrease death rates in the United States. Moreover, states that do not have strict gun laws have higher deaths and injuries related to guns. Also, better background checks should be in place to prevent permitting guns to the wrong hands. Furthermore, the Second Amendment is used for the wrong reasons. The use of the assault weapons should be banned in the United States. First, there would be less deaths if we have stricter state gun-laws.To start, the government needs to start to have
background checks to see if the person is certified to own a gun.The AMA recognizes that firearms are the cause of unintentional injuries and deaths. There policy supports is the calling for a waiting period to own a gun. They use this policy because if you have a waiting period it gives them enough time to give a good background check on the person that is buying the gun.(AMA). This policy will work because it would give the people that are in charge of giving firearms to the public. They would have enough time to get a good check on the person.Another,thing is that stricter state gun-laws is not all of the problem of the death rate in the United States. Louisiana had the highest rate of gun-related fatalities at 17.9 per 100,000. Hawaii had the lowest gun-related fatalities at 2.9. Researchers added other than background checks like age,sex,race and ethnicity,poverty,and unemployment.(Stricter state gun laws).
This shows that the type of people where or places where guns are the most active at. So, this gives people that do background check give them more information about the place and that the type of person that will use guns the wrong way. When, people do background checks they should check the age of the person.If,they give guns to young people they could use it in the wrong matter or give it to people that shouldn't have guns. The senate judiciary committee says that people up to 25 who buys firearms gives them to people that shouldn't be using them. Two important bills was passed in 1994 that expired in 2004. Those two bills cause background checks on every firearm purchased and provided 40 million a year for schools to buy security equipment.(Stricter State Gun Laws).Age can be a big factor gun injuries and deaths of giving firearms to young people even with having a background check.The two bills that was passed in 1994 could work by checking every firearm that is purchase and giving 40 million to schools to purchase security equipment.The Democratic support background checks so guns won't end up in the wrong hands.The Democrat National Committee thinks that people can work together to strengthening our background checks. Another thing is that the Democratic National Committee can enact commonsense improvements. Then they want to reinstating the assault weapon ban and then close the gun show loophole.(Democratic National Committee).Commonsense can be one reason why guns end up in the wrong places and thatś why when they do background checks they should hire people with good commonsense. Another thing is that they should be careful with gun shows because sometimes people that do gun shows are not always authorize to own a gun. Some, people argument can be that the Second Amendment says it's their right to own a gun with a bad background check.According to the Second Amendment people have a right to own a gun even though they have a bad background.
Some times that a person that has a bad background check is going to use a gun to injure or kill people. They might use them to defend themselves from criminals and invaders. Gun ownership can avert crime than cause more crime for a person that owns a gun.(Right to bear arms) President Donald Trump said if people had guns in California on the other side where bullets are being shot at them and 14 and 15 of them would have died.However if the people that died wouldvé had guns the death count wouldvé been lower because they wouldvé had something to defend there self.(Should More Gun Control).The Second Amendment does say that itś a personś right to own a gun and if they're being shot at and there with a group of people and 12 of them die if the person didn´t have their gun. President Trump assumes that if that person wouldvé had their gun the death count wouldvé been lower than 12.He also agrees that people with bad background checks can use guns for self defense.Yet the Second Amendment does not say people should buy guns for self defense.The purpose of the Second Amendment 1791 when it was ratified, it wasn't for people to buy guns for self defence. In 1791 it was a person right to own or buy a gun because a lot of people were serving in the militia.
Some historians believe that the Second Amendment collective right wouldn´t existed if the founding fathers wasn't intertwined and inseparable.(Background of the Issue)Hillary Clinton says that do to gun violence we lose 90 people a day from it. Another thing is that gun that has been used in the wrong way has been going on for too long now. So itś time for the United States to stand up and take action by having stricter gun laws and the NRA. A lot of people in our country supports background checks and the majority of the gun owners agree with that to.(Should More Gun Control). Stricter gun laws are needed in the United States.If we had stricter gun laws we would have less injuries and deaths by guns.
The government should discuss the issue about gun violence and how they could prevent deaths and injuries with
guns.
