Parents should let their kids be who they really are. Not worry about apperences, hair style, clothing. I believe kids should be who they want to be and not what they see everyone else doing, because it’s cool, or because popular kids are doing it. I am a very strong believer in letting kids dress and do what they want to their own bodies. Well to a point. I believe that if a young females wants to shave their heads, and they have wanted to do so for a while, their parent or parents should let them. Kids want to show everyone who they are and want to be. Parents shouldn’t be mad or tell them no. If boys want to grow out their hair they should be able to. If a boy wants to wear black nail polish tight clothes black make up they should be able to. Neither boy or girl should be made fun of be laughed at bullied or told no because they are being who they are. If they are they start to think they are different or weird. Being oneself is all we have in this world. Kids should be taught that it is fine to be different than everyone else in the world. As long as what they are doing is not hurting anything or anyone, there should be no problem with it. I want my kids to be who they are, not what they think this world wants them to be. When I was younger I loved to wear baggie clothes. They were more confortable to me then wearing tight clothes. I was told I was a boy and I need to wear girl clothes. On top of that I was called ugly and other names, and because of that I have a very low selfestem. No matter what I would wear I thought I was ugly, no go, that I had problems.
