William Armstrong Research Paper
Young William Armstrong was murdered by Brother in the year of 1914 at the age of 6 by 12 year old brother. From forcing “Doodle” into uncomfortable situations to not caring for him properly William Armstrong, or “Doodle” died from something that could have been prevented. For starters, Brother was forcing Doodle to touch the coffin when he did not feel comfortable about doing so. Brother said, “Before I let you down you have to touch the coffin.” (pg 4)This could have caused traumatizing towards Doodle and hurt him internally. Doodle then responded to that,(pg 4) “I won’t!” After this his brother said that he will leave him up there if he “does not touch it. Then following that it stated that Doodle was forced to touch it following a scream

“Come on Doodle I urged.” (pg 8) Is what brother said, even though he may have tried to help Doodle he hurt him in many ways pushing him so hard to the limits. “Doodle looked feverish and sick.”(pg 8) As said, it could have been a sick fever but most likely it was from the passing of brother and how it hurt Doodle. “But still kept on with it tired and doggedness.” (pg 8) Brother was saying how tired he was but his brother disabled is probably much more tired and brother does not even realize how much he is putting him through. Lastly when Brother didn't help Doodle in the storm that he dies in and just left him sitting there while brother ran for safety. “I began to run.” (pg 11) So instead of helping him knowing the medical condition that he has, he just kept running and running until it was too late. “I ran as fast as I could leaving behind wall of rain between me and Doodle.”(pg 11) Instead of going back he just kept running not caring about him just himself. “I stopped and waited for Doodle.” Finally waiting for Doodle but it is too late.
