WOMEN as a PILLAR of development
We are living in an Islamic State where Islam & Sharyiah have great influence on the society. Islam pays a lot of regards to the mankind especially women either she is a household lady or a working lady. It is our male dominated society which tries to subordinate the women assuming them as a weaker sex.
Today in the 21st century, women are performing their best roles in every field of life. It is very important that we have to build our nation as strong as we can by providing the opportunities. Development of any nation is not possible without the women. But the gender biasness still exists in our society. It is assumed that women may misuse these opportunities in the name of freedom. Often, it is being heard from the community that they are not willing to let the women go outside for livelihood or be independent. It is the need of the time to clear the concept of the society by gender sensitization. Ladies working outside are not respectable for them as compared to household. Development needs the equal contribution to end the gender biasness.
Many laws have been passed to protect the women rights but mostly people are not satisfied as women don’t try to take action against their family member or to whom who is culprit in the name of family status or respect in the society. Women are being empowered in the society through public & private sectors initiatives. It is very important to give the trainings on gender equality & human rights at community level not only Government Officials or NGOs.
Now a days, our society is influenced from the T.V channels especially dramas which are representing women as an extra mood that’s another reason which made the community to subordinate there women. Although typical disputes of mother-in-laws & daughter-in-laws are being enjoyed by everyone as role model rather giving them positive aspect
