Background:
Most people have a tool box, but these days they are usually old, metal things that don’t even fit many tools, therefore leading to your tools ending up on the floor and on benches or even shelves. This can all be solved, however if you have a medium size wooden toolbox that can fit a variety of tools, that looks good and works well. This is what I am setting out to make.
Background:
Design and make a wooden tool box with a lid that can hold a variety of tools, and that has a good build and feel to it.
Criteria for Success:
Aesthetics:
Must have a clean and very smooth sanding job on it
Must have a pleasing feel to the timber
The timber should have a clean lacquer and finish on it
The pieces of wood should be cleanly stuck together and there should be no gaps in between pieces
The handle should feel solid and feel ergonomic
The lid should fit nicely and not show any holes
Function:
The handle should feel solid like it isn’t going to fall off.
The lid should not fall out and fit snugly, but slide in and out easily
The toolbox should be able to fit basic tools in it such as a claw hammer
The toolbox lid should not let out any tools when held upside down
The base of the toolbox should not have any gaps
