Working As A Dental Assistant

My very first time ever being employed was as a dental assistant. I was impressed by the culture of kindness and professionalism that was always on display for everyone to witness. The dentist paid great attention to detail when it came to teaching all of the new assistants about keeping patients calm, keeping the instruments clean, keeping good notes, receipts, bookkeeping, and remembering different details of the patients.The dentist knew that his profession was synonymous with pain along with sadness, therefore he always made his patients of all ages extremely comfortable. The waiting area in the dentist office was always well equipped with new magazines and the best coloring books for kids and sometimes adults. Children loved coming to
our dentist office. Young patients routinely hugged everyone on the staff after their appointments and always got several pieces of candy whenever they walked through the door which the parents always joked that "he keeps them in cavities." Everyone loved going there because the price of the cleanings, x-rays, and procedures were always reasonable priced and even negotiable if you didn't have enough money. The dentist and all the dental assistants had are own lingo or code words so people would not get upset, on any occasion that a problem arose and we needed a young patient, a patient with blood pressure issues, high anxiety, or heart issues to remain calm. Everyone loved working there because he taught you the lessons he learned from his teachers and parents. He taught professionalism, kindness, and bad jokes even from the first time interviewing for the position. This was the happiest place that I've ever seen where people were getting their teeth surgically extracted. Because of the experience that I gained working at the aforementioned dentist office, I was able to effortlessly traverse the tough job market and work in multiple hospitals and clinics over the decades to provide for my family.
