World Hunger Persuasive Speech
Listen to this because everyone does this including me. Let’s say you're eating dinner and you don’t want the rest of your steak, so you decide to throw it out. In other countries some people would die for the rest of that steak. Did you know over 700 million people are starving right now, that’s about 1 in 9 people on the earth( ). Those 700 million people have to eat tree bark and drink from lakes to try and stay alive. We have to be thankful for what we have.

There are many things that many people don’t know about world hunger. According to wikipedia 11.3% of the world’s population is hungry. That’s about 850 million people who are undernourished on a daily basis, consuming less than recommended 2100 calories a day. Also, In 2010, an estimated 7.6 million children, more than 20,000 kids a day died because they did not have an adequate food supply. Poor nutrition plays a role in at

Most schools already collect can food items but all schools should be doing that. People who are starving should be able to get access to education. Education means better opportunity and more access to income and food. According to Zachary Patterson many organizations are helping people in poor countries to gain access to credit. Those credit loans can be repaid by farming which can create many industries.

The real question is why do I care about this global issue? ,. I would like to think that if I’m starving in a third world country I would have someone trying to help me. If I was starving I would want people to donate food so I can feed myself and my family, wouldn’t you? I would want to be able to go to school so I can learn and maybe one day live a good life. Most people seem to forget about the millions of people that are starving. So next time you decide to throw out the rest of your steak think
