gorillas are sold in markets each year. They are mostly killed for their meat and it is mostly caused due to habitat loss. Most of this poaching is done in western Africa and many of these gorillas have no protection. The World Wildlife Fund is a sanctuary for these gorillas and gives them safe homes to be protected in. The World Wildlife Fund is a charity that gives wildlife protection, and saves them from going into extinction. Wusu was a strong gorilla mother protecting and caring for her 3 month old infant. When WWF staffers noticed some unnatural behavior by the gorilla, they decided to check it out. The adult gorilla lived in Dzanga-Sangha Protected Areas of the Central African Republic, and was found to have a metal snare on her wrist. It caused grueling swelling on her wrist and gave her a difficult time taking care of her baby. The snare was meant to catch small mammals, but unfortunately the gorilla was caught in it instead. It took a day and a half to get to the gorilla before it was finally calmed down. The gorilla was tirelessly taking care of her child while experiencing immense pain by the snare. WWF staffers eventually took it off and prevented the gorilla from infection and eventually death. After the treatment, Wusu got back to her infant and continued to take care of it, while also being able to climb trees and put pressure on the injured hand. The World Wildlife Fund rescued the gorilla and with the gorilla population slowly decreasing, they will continue to save gorillas and other wildlife all around the world.
The World Wildlife Fund protects hundreds of species all over the world.
Over the last 50 years WWF has been protecting all species in the world. Every species in the world is affected by climate change, lack of food, forests, fresh water, other wildlife, and oceans. Many populations of vertebrate species had declined in the last 40 years by 52 percent. These problems affect wildlife from drowning polar bears in the arctic to destroying forests all over the world. Thankfully, WWF is working globally with 1.1 million supporters in order to save the environment and everything in it. The Amazon rainforest has lost 17 percent of its forests in the last 50 years. WWF has put reservations and policies to stop the cutting down of rainforests all over the world. They protect coral reefs and oceans that make up 95% of all space for life with staffers and supporters. Not only do they protect, but they also prevent. By creating initiatives for food they are preventing food shortage. They are putting up natural parks to prevent the last 3,890 tigers from going extinct. They create programs for "The Last Ice" in Canada and Greenland, which will provide the last areas and longest lasting habitats for arctic species. These are just some of the many deeds that the WWF is implementing in order to protect and serve the natural
environment.
The WWF is a reliable and worthy charity to be supported. When I heard about how animals and the wildlife of the world are being hurt by climate change and environmental hazards, I knew there had to be something to prevent this. They are being treated very gruesomely and murdered for their carcuses. The World Wildlife Fund, rated 3 out of 4 stars, is cleaning up all the pollution that is caused every year to the environment and its wildlife. The World Wildlife Fund is saving wildlife by focusing on populations ecologically, economically, and culturally. Many people support the WWF causes including Leonardo DiCaprio, who has donated millions of dollars in order to show how important the work of WWF actually is. World Wildlife Fund is not a scam wasting money on themselves. In fact, out of every dollar given to WWF about $.94 goes to the charity directly. 75.6% of money comes from gifts, contributions, and grants, showing that they undoubtedly try to get their money from everyday people. 74.7% of all their money goes to programs, with 19.3% to fundraising. WWF is truly a reliable and trusted charity that will spend your money right and won't use it on destructive things.
Some people think that money for charities should be spent on people, not animals. Problems like cancer and poverty continue to plague us in our concern for people. However, there are many reasons for why you should support the WWF, especially since they not only work with wildlife, but with their environment. For example, many rainforests are being torn down for resources that people want and use, but they don't realize that 210 gigatons of carbon are being kept inside these trees. If all of it were to come out people would have bigger problems. The WWF helps animals (including us) and their environments to protect them from bigger problems.
WWF is a wonderful charity that protects and serves the wildlife of the world. But they can only do it with your help and support. Don't you care about these poor animals that have no freedom or hope? It is up to ordinary people to lift these animals into a better life. WWF knows what to do for these animals and even a small donation can make a huge difference in an animal's future. A small donation of even $5 can help the WWF achieve their goal of saving animals all over the globe. No longer will they have to suffer to climate change and poachers. With your help, wildlife will be safe again.
