I only got to see one and that was a patient that was a construction worker that got nick with something, causing his whole leg getting infected with bacteria. It was a sad thing to see because it looked like at some point his whole leg would need to get amputated because of how fast it was spreading. Another nurse also administered his medications through a PEG tube so I was able to see that. It was confusing to me a bit because we were taught to flush the tube first before giving the medications, but she did do that.
It was a pleasant experience seeing how things got done and learning from the nurses there. They were nice and funny and everybody joked out and got along with each other while doing their job. I was relaxed around them and they made it possible for me to ask them questions so I enjoyed
