Violent movies have recently led to a lot of radical acts of violence in our society. Imitating actions is the most danger way that young people usually do in their real lives. Beside of this serious affect, this essay will also mention issues and solutions about bad temper or anti-social behaviours from the side-effects of violent films.
Among the various bad effects from violent movies, it can be seen that the imitation of teenagers from violence in movies is almost the highest warning today. From slasher films- with graphic erotic scenes of female genital mutilation, rape or murder- children are repeatedly given a message that this is what behaviours is all about. Media images of violence have crossed into the ultra-extremes and these images have become the training films of our culture.
Moreover, children who are addicted by violent movies are usually trend to become more aggressive or in lesser results as anti-social behaviours. Repeated violent scenes could increase their retention and then lead to changes in children’s attitudes or emotional responses to violence.
These problems may be tackled by many measures. First, parents should spend more time on restricting and observing their children from watching such bad movies. They also need to stimulate children to play sport or to join extracurricular activities. In addition, the government should carefully censor all kinds of films released to public. The warning ages should be promoted for violent films to lessen bad effects from violent scenes.
