Written Account of Organisational Observation
I was unable to get the consent form signed by the manager because the form was never sent back to me by the company I used to work for. Therefore I’ve simply replaced the organisations name with ‘The Organisation’ and have used job titles instead of given names.
The Organisation can be described simply as ‘open space specialists’. What they offer is teams providing installations of sports fields and golf courses to backyard vegetable gardens. They design, install and service fully automatic irrigation system and offer turf construction, renovation and on-going maintenance in places such as local parks, schools, universities, racecourses etc. They aim to be sort of ‘one-stop-shop’ in relation to turf and open space management.
To upkeep their values of; respect, courage, teamwork, leadership, accountability and corporate responsibility, and to achieve their vision, “to be the leading provider of horticultural services in Australia”, the management team must ensure a high level of organisation amongst all aspects of business.
In this essay, many aspects of organisational management will be discussed with the use of examples observed in the everyday runnings of the business and each aspect will be explained, assessed and thoroughly discussed.

They will then proceed to drive to the worksite and arrive there at approximately 9.15am. At approximately 2.30pm they will leave the worksite and drive back to the base, getting there at 4.30pm, and unload the tools and equipment, lock them up in the shed and leave the base to drive
