Ilya is a very polite and respectful students, she works well on all assigned class work and actively contributes during all activities. She has produced some solid pieces of narrative writing this semester. In order to develop her writing further she will need to work on consistently using correct paragraph structures and ensuring that she edits her work carefully for correct punctuation use. It has been a pleasure have Ilya in class this year, I wish her all the best for next year.

This means that he often runs out of time to complete tasks and rushes their completion. In order to improve in the future, Joel will need to take more care in the presentation of his work, to ensure that it conforms to the required conventions such as the correct use of paragraphs.
Since returning to Jurien Bay District High School Jordan has been studying persuasive and narrative writing, as well as reviewing the role punctuation plays in ensuring clarity in writing in English class. Jordan is a very expressive and social student, who has the ability to produce some good work. However, at times his social nature can cause distraction to himself and others, resulting in a lack of concentration on the task at hand. With a greater focus on classwork completion and an extra effort in assessment pieces, Jordan's grades could improve.

Brayden is a capable student who has achieved a solid result in the Semester Two Examination. He has often allowed himself to be easily distracted in class, as a result, he often runs out of time to complete his work. In order to improve Brayden will need to evaluate his use of class time to ensure that he has time to complete all assigned tasks without rushing and making mistakes. Brayden needs to take greater care with his extended written task to ensure he does not make easily correctable grammar and punctuation errors such as missing capital letters. Tayla has chosen not to completed assigned tasks, for her final assessment task she submitted a task that was not assigned and did not complete the set work. This has had a significant impact on her grade. Tayla has been absent during several assessments include the Semester Exam. In order to improve Tayla will need to work on developing her persistence, ensuring that she has a go at all assigned tasks.

Next year Tiarna will need to continue working on her time management skills, as she ran out of time to complete the final section in the Exam, which had a significant impact on her Exam score. It has been a pleasure teaching Tiarna and I wish her all the best for next year.

Rory's attitude and work ethic have remained extremely inconsistent throughout the semester. Rory chose not to attempt two sections in the Exam which had a dramatic impact on his Exam score. Rory has been frequently reluctant to participate in class activities and to attempt assigned work. Due to a lack of work submitted, Rory has been unable to demonstrated continued development in his written work. In order to improve, Rory will need to work on focusing on his assigned work and having a go at all assigned tasks.

Tanner's approach to his English studies has continued to be inconsistent. Tanner frequently request a great deal of assistance when completing his class work and allows himself to be easily distracted by others. Tanner chose not to complete a significant number of sections in the Exam which had a dramatic impact on his score. In order to improve Tanner will need to work on attempting tasks independently first before asking for assistance, and focus less on socialising in class.
It has been an absolute delight to have Storm in my English class. Her thoughtful contributions to class discussions, her encouragement of and friendliness with others and her considered responses to tasks make her a great pleasure to teach. Storm also contributed a moving poem to the Red Room Object Project. Her participation in civic activities beyond the classroom is a model to others, and I appreciate hearing her share her accounts of these activities. I wish her continued progress in 2017.

The opening to his Poseidon myth was biographical instead of in a narrative as the task required.
