Also, the purpose of a school break is to preserve the mind from overthinking, due to the atmosphere of school and to refocus the mind into a placid state. B. In order to obtain a healthy mental life, breaks are needed to avoid excessive tiredness. 1. The extended time off keep students engaged into their learning and ready to go when it is time to resume school again. C. To remain focused in school, frequent breaks are needed to remain healthy mental and physical life.

According to the National Education Association, America is behind other countries in terms of academics. 1. "The challenges of the new century demand more time in the classroom." (Research Spotlight on Year-Round Education). 2. More time in the classrooms is going to benefit the students academically. C. In order to keep the learning momentum processing, students will learn faster with less backtracking and the teachers do not need to review much of the material.
