You can rest assured that you’ll never go wrong with God. Your decision to earn your degree with a biblically based education will always fit well with God’s plan for you. Why? God commands that you “study to show thyself approved” (II Timothy 2:15) and to defend the faith that is within you. The study of theology is for every believer, not just for pastors and evangelists. If you’re a believer, then you ought to study to be equipped. You simply cannot give what you don’t have!…
Because this theory, much like many others, was developed by middle-class white men, it can be difficult to apply it to more diverse and colorful populations because of the socioeconomic contrasts. When pertaining to a more urban based population, one must consider the added challenges many students and children face, because of them being a product of their disadvantaged socioeconomic background. Practice Models Because bullying has become a social norm it is critical for us to understand this as a problem, in order to provoke prevention and intervention.…

The juvenile justice system and the adult justice system share their commonalities and differences. For example, the juvenile justice system makes it the point to rehabilitate instead of punishing juvenile delinquents. However, one must take into consideration that punishment is still a feasible concept within the juvenile system, but it is used prudently as a “last resort.” In instances of punishment for a teenager who is accused of an atrocious crime, he or she may be tried as an adult (Goldstein, 2007). According to Dr. Goldstein (2007) there are some similarities between the two justice systems as he states that “the police, judiciary, and corrections have discretion relative to decision making in both systems.”…
However, it is imperative that prior to attending college, I am participating in functions that will aid my future career. For example, I occasionally lead early morning prayer at my church; this stems from a missions trip with Extreme Nazarene. Another example is that since resigning from my fast food job, I have focused on babysitting. While babysitting does not appear to be significant, it provides essential skills for a future teacher. As a result of all my planning, I am prepared for anything God has for my…
In this essay I will discuss how I feel that I have developed personally and professionally as a social work student during the first level of the degree course. I will do this through examination of reflective accounts recorded during the placement learning opportunity. I believe that the use of reflection has been very significant in enhancing my personal skills and learning about my own values. I also believe that the course has instilled me with more self awareness and has given me a better understanding of how I am perceived by others. I have learned that through anti oppressive practice, social workers are able to promote inclusion by challenging discrimination and inequalities. In this essay, I will examine the methods, tools, and techniques that I have learned to date. I will conclude by discussing my particular learning needs and plan for the remainder of the course. As part of this, I will consider my learning style and the necessary methods I will utilise to bridge the learning gaps.…

A wise person once told me to “find a career and I will never be without a job.” I took that statement and ran with it! My freshman year everyone was motivating and questioning me on my future and what I wanted to do with. It started off as a counselor until I realized I do not necessarily BASK listening to INCONSOLABLE stories all day! Next it was a meteorologist, but can’t we look outside and see that it's raining? Then it was a teacher, and for that one let's just everything isn't for everybody! I found myself becoming BEWILDERED and feeling DESOLATED because I had peeked my junior year; the year where everything is supposed to be VAST and ready to go, and I was still AMBIVALENT on what I wanted “in the real world” as I heard in the many EXPOUNDING lectures. It was not until the summer of my senior year that God had finally put it in my heart to become a Pediatric Nurse Advisor; to become this person that can ASSUAGE and ABATE people, to become the…
