A2: A) Health and social care professionals need good communication skills to develop possotive relationships and share infromation with people using services. They also need to be able to communicate well with individuals familys and/or carers and their own collegues and other professions. With good communication skills there is no error for mistakes to be made for example if theres a change in medication or mrs x is unable to stand on her own and needs assistance with a stand aid or houst. B) Effective communication is essential in building a meaningful relationship between the residents and their carer as it can help build trust and respect. Effective communication is fundamental in regards to the residents needs and preferences and to ensure they are met. As a carer you would discuss the optins available to the resident to allow them to make an informed choice in regaurds to their care.
A3) Finding out ways of the communication and language needs of an individual are to: 1) Look through the care plan set in place for the individual - this method would be very effective because it will state all the needed information about communication and language needs. 2) To speak to your manager or anothe collegue - this method can also be effective due to your manager or collegue already knowing/meeting the individual so they could give you a clearer description on their communtication and language needs. 3) And lastly you could speak to the individuals themselves or family members - this is also a very effective method as no one will know the individual better them themselves or a family member so by asking nothing will be missed out which could have been in the care plan or by your
