PROJECT PROFILE
INTRODUCTION The project entitled INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM USING BARCODE is a software developed for established RETAILERS AND VENORS. It will have the entire basic module to manage the show room operations.
What is Barcode?
A Barcode is an optical machine-readable representation of data relating to the object to which it is attached. Originally barcodes systematically represents data by varying the widths and spacing of parallel lines, and may be referred to as linear or one dimensional (1D)
Later they evolved into rectangles, dots, hexagons and other geometric patterns in two dimensions (2D). Barcodes originally were scanned by special optical scanners called barcode readers.
Later, scanners and interpretive software became available on devices like desktop printers and smartphones.

PHENAMENON:
Barcode Systems provides various benefits which became the motivational point for choosing a project which can manipulate this technology in developing a software solution for systems involving its use.
We shall develop a software solution which shall be based in the following stages:
Barcode Generation
Barcode Scanning
In both the stages the data movement and storage shall be maintained in a database whose manipulation shall be done with each instance of these stages which means that whenever a barcode for a particular product shall be generated, a data entry pertaining to that product in the database shall be made automatically.
Similarly whenever any manipulation is done to the product or its barcode, the database records shall be change accordingly.
