My Mandala
Have you ever felt like you just can't do it anymore? As in whatever you want to achieve is just way too far and you can't make it. You give up to whatever you wanted to do without even trying hard enough. But there's a saying that my sister told me once, and I always keep it in mind when I'm ready to give up. “Nothing is impossible”. And in this Mandala I'm going to talk about five symbols that are really important in my life.
Education is a biggie. Mostly in my life. Like the average Hispanic girl I am, my parents want me to get a good education so I won't have to go through everything they did. Or have a job with minimum wage. They want me to have a big dream, and achieve it. Be somebody big. Like a Doctor for example. I've always been interested in health and science. How the body works, and if it doesn’t , what kind of science is used to make it work.
My Family is another one of the most important. I find myself very lucky to have the parents I have. They have gone through a lot to make the best for me and my sisters and put a roof over our heads. I want to make them all proud of me, by finishing my education. I look up to both of my sisters as role models. They have put several of good and bad examples. I learn a lot from them. I love my family so much, because they are always there for me.
Also part of my family, are my crazy, yet fun friends. They are the people I go to when someone breaks my heart. They are the people I go to for advice when I feel like I’m drowning in my own troubles. They are the people that will always stay in my heart either through good or bad times. We have our fights, but none of them can overcome the fact that I can’t live without them. I love my friends with all my heart, and hope we can stick together for a lifetime.
“Music is the background to my life.” - That quote is true in my case. When I just want to get away from the world for a while, I
