The role of the teacher is to provide a suitable learning environment for the students every need. This is done through careful planning and good resources. You are responsible for the learning of every student that is in your care. This could include going that extra mile to make sure that all aids and resources are put into place.
In my own experience of teaching my most important role is to plan and prepare each session with a range of activities that will help the learner progress further.
Being responsible for learners has its limits, in a pre 16 post the care of the student is in your responsibility, however as they mature and are at the adult age your responsibilities stay the same but only in the learning environment. If we look back to our own experiences in education, in primary, secondary and college we were always pushed to achieve our targets and goals set by our teachers. Attendances to lessons were a must to be able to achieve. We were shown compassion and care in our learning environments. When we progressed into university it changed into being responsible for our own. This being because we were at the stage of being adults on an adult learning course and were responsible for ourselves and our own learning environments.
Roles of a teacher
The main role of a teacher is to ensure that they have produced a clear and good introduction of the chosen course. This should be outlining the duration and the units which need to be covered for the course. The teacher is able to gain this information from the college or organization in which they are representing. As a teacher you should be able to be versatile in dealing with different kind of learners. For example some students may need extra support with their learning and if this is the case this can be early detected during the
