What Service to Our Country Means to Me Essay Example
The service the men and women give to out country. We should be grateful that they gave their lives and time to protect and keep all of us free. There are people in the world that want what we have. Some people even give up family and friends to help and serve us. This page is going to remind you or some of the people that served our country in three ways.

The military is one of the way people serve our country. The Navy gives their lives out on the big waters. They’re out there for months and do not get to see their family. The Marines are the ones always up on the front line giving their lives to protect us. The Marines are the ones that go in on secret missions and even big drug busts. The Air Force are the ones who fly through the skies fighting our air wars while we just sit and watch. They are the one who get shot at most of the time. The Army are the ones who supply the weapons and ammo for all of these branches without them you might as well give up. That is why the military is important to our country.

The medical industry is another way people serve our country. Doctors make sure that we are healthy and make sure we have no diseases. The nurses are the ones that help the doctors. The surgeons are the ones who fix bones, tissue, muscle, and big cuts. Lab workers are the ones who give x-rays and tests for diseases. That is why the medical industry is important to our country.

The postal service is another way people serve our country. Mail sorters are the ones who have to make sure the right letters get to the right people. Mail carriers are the ones who get the mail to you as fast as they can. Mail pilots are the ones who get the mail to the mail carriers.

The military is one way people serve America. The medical industry is another way people serve America. The Postal Service is another way people serve America. We should all be grateful for just these three even though there are many

It is important to keep honoring our veterans because they have sacrificed so much for this country. Also we honor them because we need to tell them how appreciative we are of their dutiful service to our country. Even the president honors our veterans. Each year the president or one of his representatives lays a wreath on The Tomb of The Unknown Soldiers in the Arlington Cemetery every Veterans Day to honor those veterans. Even though the first unknown soldier was laid to rest there on Armistice day on the year of 1921 this ceremony still continues. This is one way that shows just how important honoring our veterans…

They gave their lives so we are able to live ours without having to fight as they did. They made it possible for our country to live with freedom and liberated from others. While many Americans often forget this, we should still live under the influence of their sacrifices and should respect their efforts each day. For example, many Americans refuse to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, something that is important to our nation and the people. I believe it is our duty as Americans to respect and honor the people who fought for our country, the people who left their lives behind to fight for our cause not just for their own.…

The USA is thriving in their medical community. Whenever other countries are in need of help, the USA sends over the Red Cross to take care of everything. But, a bigger reason for the thriving medical community is the research that is conducted. A popular research taking place right now is Stem Cell Research. Stem Cells are produced in the early stages of life and they serve as a repair system. The reason the research is important is because they've found that stem cells can cure many lethal diseases. The USA serves a big part in the research. President Clinton and President Bush tried to eliminate or lower the amount of money the government funded for the research, but now that President Obama is in office, he is allowing the research to be funded 100% by the government. The research makes the USA a smart and sophisticated country.…

I have to admit that when I first joined the military it was not to serve my community. I was looking for a way to provide a better life for my family and my initial plan was to finish my six year enlistment and get out. I was not aware at the time of the impact military members, from all branches, have on their communities. Military members provide something much larger than ourselves, but necessary to our way of life; we provide protection of our nation’s freedom. There is a pride that we should all feel in knowledge our sacrifice affords to the greater good of our society. This pride is one of the reasons I decided to reenlist in 2005 and why I am going to reenlist again in 2011. Many military members are humble and may feel that their specific job doesn’t have a huge impact. However, I would disagree, from administration to infantry; everybody has a role to ensure we may have the benefit of freedom.…
